Bespoke Support & Moving and Handling for Schools
Bespoke packages and training to keep young people and staff safe and comfortable.
Moving and Handling Training
We can train your staff members with best practices to move children and young people in a safe and comfortable way, whilst maintaining their dignity and minimising harm to the mover.
Solving difficult moving and handling situations and providing bespoke packages of care.
People handling
We are qualified to provide moving and handling training for schools, with best practice techniques to move people in a safe and comfortable way, whilst maintaining their dignity, promoting independence, and minimising harm to the handler.
This can be used in a school environment, assisting students with disabilities or those with special needs.
Our services include half-a-day, full-day and bespoke training packages which can be carried out in a one-to-one, or group setting.
We also provide manual handling risk assessments, which are a legal requirement and help to evaluate current techniques, identify risk areas that could lead to injury and develop skills and controls to reduce the risks.
What our Manual Handling Training includes:
- Theory and legislation surrounding moving and handling
- Identifying when and how to complete a dynamic risk assessment
- Problem solving and discussion
- How to carry out safely and effectively practical transfers and use mechanical aids
- The chance to practice correct techniques
- Problem solving and discussion
Our moving and handling training covers legislation, the law, and employer and employee responsibilities.
We focus on best practice techniques to move people in a safe and comfortable way, whilst maintaining their dignity, promoting independence and minimising discomfort.
